Cookie Redding is an artist, designer and lecturer with the School of Visual Arts at the Pennsylvania State University and teaches courses in the DMD Program. Her work encompasses the art and design world, with a focus on a multiple media forms of expression. Redding’s influences are from a diverse array of disciplines with a focus on engagement, feedback and technology practices.
Spawning from the classics and antiquities, to history and tech, her explorations integrate these elements into a study of symbols. The imagery she deals within her work is a study from the beauty of words and by being within nature. Her large canvases explore how the literary world meets the natural work with color and texture.
