Spring 2023 Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching
The Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching will be offered to graduate students from the College of Arts and Architecture assigned to teach or assist with an online or hybrid course this Spring 2023. This non-credit practicum will include 7 required synchronous meetings, 3 surveys, and 2 activities. After successful completion, students will be awarded a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching.
The practicum will provide graduate students with online teaching resources and strategies, which they can implement directly into their own teaching practice. It will address various approaches to effective communication and evaluation of student work, giving graduate students a platform to demonstrate their personal methods of communication and assessment.
The Graduate Online Teaching Practicum will be offered to the graduate students from the College of Arts and Architecture.
This non-credit practicum will offer two options:
1) Pick and choose synchronous online and in-person presentations and events for collaboration and community building. Students do not need to be teaching or assisting with a course to participate.
2) Attend required asynchronous and synchronous zoom sessions and submit 3 surveys and 2 activities. After completion, students will be awarded a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching. Students need to be teaching or assisting with an online/hybrid course to qualify for this option.
