Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching is offered to graduate students from the College of Arts and Architecture who are assigned to teach or assist with an online/hybrid course this Spring 2022. This non-credit practicum will include 7 required synchronous zoom meetings, 3 short surveys, and 2 activities. After successful completion, students will be awarded the “College of Arts and Architecture Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching”.
The practicum will provide graduate students with online teaching resources and strategies, which they can implement directly into their own teaching. It will address various approaches to effective communication and evaluation of student work, giving graduate students a platform to demonstrate their personal methods of communication and assessment. Most importantly the practicum serves as a place for graduate student community growth and sharing.
The first informational meeting will take place on Friday, January 21st, 1:30pm EST. During this meeting, we will select a time that will work for everyone to meet on weekly basis.
